This is a Conveyorized Web Etch System for manufacturing RFID soft tags used in inventory control and loss prevention. The web was 30" wide, seven mils thick aluminum / polyethylene / aluminum laminate. The coils (antenna) were etched on one side and the capacitor was etched on the opposing side. Notice the rollers had a progressive lead on the surface to eliminate wrinkling of the web as it was fed through the system. All rollers were driven and were synchronized so the wed was not stretched during the process.
